Ok so yesterday I had this strange desire to try my hand at shooting with a film camera. After some research I discovered that the old medium format film cameras of days past were actually not too expensive. I also recalled that my mother-in-law still had the medium format camera she and my father-in-law used when they were shooting weddings in the 70s and 80s. I kindly asked and now have a Mamiya C22 Medium Format film camera with color film to see what I can do. I've heard from a couple of professional photographers that understanding film better prepares a photographer for digital. Well my plan is to put that to the test. Needless to say, I'm excited to give it a shot!
