Rained again last night. I saw this outside on our patio and knew this was the shot I wanted. I used the 50mm f/1.8 lens to create an extremely shallow depth of field so this was both an exercise in technique as well as creativity. Out of the camera I ran the Basic Bam preset followed by the Rocky Mountain Low preset. I exported it directly to JPG with no further processing in CS2. I love the detail that came through in the sphere while the shallow depth of field makes the bottom of the coil feel like its going on forever.
