In another of those spur of the moment type shots I made this image as I was getting into my car this evening to be Installed as an office in my Masonic Lodge. It was a busy day and being a Saturday I knew the challenge was to maintain that rhythm to take yet another photo for Photo Informatica. I knew that another flower would simply be another flower, but I wanted to do something different and with the fading light decided to push my Nikon D300 to its limits. This was shot at ISO3200, toned in Lightroom 2.3 (RC), and turned to black and white in Photoshop CS2 (if anyone has a free copy of CS4 feel free to pass it on to me:). I colorized the flower but kept the rest of the processing due to the high amount of chromatic noise in the image. The artistic nature of the image is where I want it to be despite the noise. I am very pleased with the results.
