I wanted to try my hand at using the High Speed Sync setting on the D300 and came away with this shot. Camera was set to 1/320s with the SB-800 on camera. The flash was double diffused using the built-in diffuser (the little flip down plastic thing) as well as a Gary Fong diffuser. I took the shot at an upward angle with the 50mm f/1.8. I dropped the ambient by going to f/22 but still came away with plenty of light due to the TTL setting on the flash. Needless to say, I love this shot. I know I cropped the edge of the flower but it's more the effect than the composition.
